Clovis Fernandes Souza,"Pai,Vo" age 65, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 surrounded by his family. Clovis was born in Rio Grande Do Sul Esteio Brazil and came to the United States in 1968. He first settled in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He then moved to Dayton Ohio, to Glendale California and finally Providence, Rhode Island. Here, he met his former spouse with whom they had two children together. From a young age, Clovis showed love for music. He started several bands in the early seventies with his three brothers Charlie, Claudio and Gilberto, whom he has always had an especially close relationship with. Clovis’ love for music stuck with him his whole life. He enjoyed watching live bands and jamming with his son and friends.

Clovis was always a hard worker and was a newspaper delivery boy at the age of 12. Most recently, he was the shop foreman at McKenna roofing, where he was a valued employee for 22 years. Always smiling, a kid at heart with a love for life is how his family describes him. Clovis made quick friends with everyone he met, leaving a lasting impression. Clovis enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle. He valued his family and spent the majority of his time with them. He described picking his grandkids up from school as the highlight of his day. He often noted he had a “soft spot” in his heart for his daughter. He was prideful of his native country, Brazil, as well as America and loved former President Trump. Clovis, we all love you and your laugh will stay with us forever.

He is survived by his daughter Brittany Renee Sheehan (Souza) of North Providence along with her husband Kyle Sheehan. His son Christian Souza of Brooklyn, New York. His two grandchildren, Madilyn Renee Sheehan and Nathan Sheehan. His three brothers Charlie Souza, Claudio Souza and Gilberto Souza. His mother Teresinha Souza, all of Rio Grande Do Sul Brazil. His beloved late sister Sirlei Souza of Porto Alegre Brazil.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 21st from 4-7 pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
